Subject you teach/ Why did you choose that subject: Family and Consumer Sciences/ I chose this subject because I wanted to teach kids how to “adult” properly and allow them to leave high school with necessary life skills to take with them to college.

Did you do any extracurricular activities in high school/ college? I played volleyball
What inspires you to teach? Being able to make a tangible difference in kids’ lives and knowing that I am helping them enrich their minds.
Any advice to high school kids to help them along the way? Do what makes you happy, and don’t worry what anyone else thinks about it.

Role model as a child/adult: My mother, she has always been the most compassionate and empathetic person I have ever known. I aspire to be as kind hearted as she has been my whole life.

Why did you choose Itasca – Itasca seems like a very humble and close knit town.
What’s your favorite food/ drink? – My favorite drink is cherry sprite zero from Sonic and my favorite food is pretty much all snacks and chocolate. I also enjoy a really good steak every now and then.
