Itasca ISD welcomes Ryan Trammell to Itasca High School. Coach Trammell was born in Augusta, Kansas. He is the father of two boys. His wife is Tori Trammell, his sons are Ben and Sean Trammell. They also have a family dog, he is a Boston Terrier named Max. Coach Trammell’s hometown is Frisco, Texas. He graduated there from Frisco High School. Coach Trammell attended college at Texas Tech, and he graduated with a Bachelor’s in History in 2006. He says,”I chose to teach history since it is all real life applicable.” Coach Trammell would describe himself as “positive, responsible, and analytical”. In high school, Coach Trammell participated in basketball, football, soccer, and FCA. The most unique thing about him is that he was a college athlete. Coach Trammell said,”I was inspired to teach because I would like to be someone for anyone that may need someone.”
Before Coach Trammell came here to Itasca, he was a teacher and coach at V.R. Eaton High School. This is his 16th year teaching. He decided to come to Itasca since it is a small town, and he has always been at bigger schools, so he wanted to try something different for a change. If Coach Trammell wasn’t a teacher and coach, he would want to be an athletic trainer or a sports agent. In his free time, some of his favorite hobbies involve watching sports, movies, and spending time with his family. His biggest role model in life is his father. Some of his favorite things are anything Dr. Pepper, Mexican food, the movie “Forest Gump”, and the book “The Art of War.” His advice to any high school students to help them along the way,”Take advantage of the retake policy you have and know the grading policy because it is very beneficial to you.” His favorite quote is,”Things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out.”
