Story #1
Did you know it takes 5-10 years before stocks can produce grapes that can be used for winemaking? This proves that with some time, a sour thing can turn sweet, just like it did for Cornealious Michael Anderson lll.
In 2000, Anderson, at the age of 23, was convicted of armed robbery of a Wendys. He was sentenced to 13 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Due to a clerical error, Anderson was never taken to jail. He waited and waited some more for the cops to come and bring him into custody, but they never showed up.
Anderson wasn’t hiding, and whenever he went out or made purchases, he made sure to use his full name. 10 years go by and Anderson gets married, finds a company, registers it, renews his driver’s license, and votes, all while he is supposed to be serving his sentence. It looks like Anderson really got his life turned around.
Soon 13 years go by, and the prison is getting ready to release Anderson until they realize he was never there. Immediately they find him and take him into custody to go in front of the judge to make an apparel about the mishap. The judge, however, believes that Anderson has got his life together. He was then set free without any time served.
We stand for a judge who values rehabilitation over restraint.
Bonus Story #2
“Revenge is a dish best served cold.” Let’s just say this revenge story took 20 years to be hot and ready.
In 1883, Henrey Zeigland broke up with his girlfriend, Macy. She couldn’t handle the heartbreak, so she decided to take her life. Macy’s brother is enraged and decides to get revenge on his sister’s ex-boyfriend. He planned on shooting him the same way his sister shot herself.
Later that same day the brother confronted Henry. He shot him right in front of a tree. Thinking he was successful, he then turned the gun on himself. However, the bullet only grazed Henry and ended up in the tree.
Twenty years later, Henry started cutting down trees in his neighborhood. He attempted to cut down a familiar one with an axe, but it was so big and firm that he decided to use an alternative method: He was going to blow up the tree.
He made some holes in the tree and inserted the dynamite in it. The tree exploded into pieces and the bullet that had been engraved there came bursting out and struck Henry. He was found dead on the scene with a 20-year-old bullet to the head.
Henry proved that you can’t mess with fate. What’s meant for you, will find you.
