With our winter break being over, the next break we have to look forward to is spring break! The final break of the school year until the last stretch of school, transitioning to summer break, it’s a time when the mornings are cold and the afternoons are warm. The trees finally sprouted, flowers blossoming into ripe greens and vibrant colors. Usually, this is a time to go to the lake or travel somewhere. Today, I have interviewed some of our office staff members, teachers, and students to see what their spring break plans include!
First, here’s what some of our office staff said they plan to do over spring break:
Mrs. Massey – “Hmm…Nothing really, maybe spring cleaning? I don’t really have any plans…”
Mrs. Torres – “I’m going to San Antonio with my family, we plan to visit the river walk!”
I then visited a few teachers in their classrooms to hear what they’re spring break is going to look like.
Mrs. Speer – “The week of spring break- taking my granddaughter to go shopping to buy some goats! We had to get rid of all our animals since we replaced our fences at our ranch, and in the process of replacing all them, so- I promised my granddaughter to go goat shopping”
Mr. Benson – “Um… Probably sleeping, maybe some eating, a vague attempt to exercise… I’ll probably fail. Play some video games. I’ll eat, sleep, play video games, repeat.”
To end this interview, I went to several different students to see what they were looking forward to for spring break!
Anniya Crooks – “Okay, for spring break, I’ll be going out to eat for my birthday, and I might visit Los Angeles to see some of my distant family members, and I’ll be attending my internship at a vet in Hillsboro, and last I’m just gonna sleep and clean my room.”
Crystal Aguillon – “Personally, I’m not really sure, but my mom wants to take a trip somewhere far. I’m hoping it’s Colorado because of the snow. I’ve gone up there, it’s not really cold compared to Texas weather, from what I’ve seen, but also I’ve seen people with puffy jackets and I’m like, oh- I guess it’s cold.”
Isaie “Charlie” Arriaga – “I’m going to Oklahoma. Just for vacation, because we have a cabin up there. Yeah, all my family is coming too. Then I think I’m going to train. Y’know? Track, tennis. But that’s it.”
In conclusion, we all are doing something different, no matter how big the event or little it is, so just enjoy whatever you’re doing, whether that be traveling, or simply relaxing at home!
