Itasca community members and ISD faculty/staff/parents gathered at the library to have a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday 2/20 to learn more about the Itasca ISD Bond Election. Tonya Harris- Superintendent of Itasca ISD, welcomed all and held an informative presentation for all in attendance. The Bond proposition for $34,000,000 would allow for new construction and renovation of the ISD. New construction will include: Elementary PE/Multi-Purpose Facility (storm shelter), Kitchen/Cafeteria, Life Skills Classrooms. Renovations will include: Elementary Campus, Existing Cafeteria to Classrooms, Middle School Office, Secondary Science Labs, Restrooms, Drainage & Infrastructure Improvements, and ADA Upgrades.
