Get to know our Yearbook/Paw Print Press Secretary, Fedra Garza! Fedra is currently a Sophomore at Itasca HS and is involved in both Yearbook (YB) and Paw Print Press (PPP), writing stories and taking various photos. Her favorite part about being in PPP is she feels like it’s always a safe space to say whatever she needs to, and having the staff members all feel like family within a good environment. One of Fedra’s favorite memories was when she got to take pictures in Hillsboro for a Valentine’s Day photoshoot for a church. “It like- made me feel free, and I’ve just never had that much fun in forever. It’s one memory that I like to replay and look back on.”
A few hobbies she has is participating in sports, currently she is in both track, and softball. She also enjoys painting and drawing flowers, and sea animals. Fedra’s fun fact is she can speak Spanish.
Her role model is her mom, because she views her as one of the strongest people she knows, along with her mom going through many things, but still made something of herself instead of bringing herself down.
And finally advice she would like to give to future students who are considering joining, is to not start problems, enjoy it all, life is not that serious just get your work done, just have fun, and everyone is family so don’t leave anyone out.
