She will be teaching health science and assisting with DAEP. if she wasn’t a teacher, she would still be working in the Police Department. Ms. Colleen was inspired to teach because she is very compassionate, and wants to help shape the lives of future students. She chose to come work at Itasca because this is her hometown, where she graduated high school, and where her kids go to school. Ms. Colleen has 6 kids, her daughters, Avery, Jaelyn, Brooklynn, Aleigha, and Jasmine, and her son Austin. Her spouse is Adam Rodriguez. Ms. Colleen would say that the most unique thing about herself is her big blended family. Her biggest role model in life is her mom. Some of her favorite things are seafood, chips with salsa, Coke Zero with lime, and the movie Grease. She has two pet dogs named Bella and King. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Colleen’s advice to high school students would be, “It’s just four short years, it does not define who you are.” and her favorite quote is. “The Lord is greater than the giants you face. (1 John 4:4).”
