Two IHS Cross Country Runners Scouted at Hillsboro Meet
The cross country team traveled to nearby Hillsboro, TX on August 26th for their first official meet of the season.
The team was pumped and ready to run bright and early at 8 a.m.
Tomas Castillo, junior at IHS, had placed 3rd out of 172 runners. Evelyn Virrueta, senior at IHS, placed 17th.
Both Evelyn and Tomas were scouted by coaches from Hill College.
Everyone that competed brought their times down compared to their practice times.
Their next meet is in Burleson on Friday, September 2.
