As we know, we are officially back in school for the 2025-2026 school year!!! For this back-to-school story, I have decided to interview students to see their thoughts on this new school year!
I interviewed 14-year-old Ann’ Marie. She is a freshman. I asked her how her transition from middle school to high school was, and she said that it has been pretty good, and she liked how there are fewer rules. She says her favorite teacher is Mr. Patterson and her favorite school memory is her able to get into entomology for Ag and going on trips. I continued to ask her how she felt about going into the 2024-2025 school year, and she said she’s really excited, and the teachers are really nice.
Next, I interviewed Peyton Nelson, who is also in 9th grade. I asked her how she felt about the transition from middle school to high school, and she said it was stressful because she was scared of not finding her classes. Her favorite memory from school is the pep rallies, and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Lemons.
Then, lastly, I interviewed 9th grader Alejandra Sifuentes. And her thoughts on transitioning from middle to high school are that it was pretty scary at first because she was going to a new school. Her favorite school memory was her first-ever track meet, along with her favorite teacher being Mrs. Trevino.
