Meet the teacher, Barry Rice! Mr. Rice teaches Agriculture Science and Ag Mechanics because he believes that agriculture gives students a brighter future. He was born in Cleburne, Texas, that being his hometown and the place he went to high school. While in HS, he was in the rodeo. His family consists of his wife, Jaimee, along with their child and two dogs, Porkchop and Bronc. Mr. Rice went to Northwood University for business management and graduated in 2000. He would like to describe himself as loyal, analytical, and meticulous. Mr. Rice was also a former Professional Rodeo Cowboy.
The things that inspire Mr. Rice to teach are seeing when a student finally understands the concept of what is being taught. If he wasn’t currently teaching, he would be raising cattle in West Texas. His hobbies consist of fishing, hunting, golf, and cattle. Lastly advice he would like to give to HS students is “Stay true to your values, don’t follow the crowd, and always chase your dreams.”
