As a continuation of last year, we are beginning our annual series, “Get To Know…” for our new members! This week, we are introducing Anniya Crooks.
She says the reason she wanted to join our organization, is that it looked interesting and an opportunity to get more involved with our school. A few skills she’s gained from being a part of us are the knowledge of how to take pictures, the experience of being a photographer, developing her communication skills, and learning how to be patient with events.
Her favorite memory so far is when our staff members had a Christmas party and had secret Santa. As well as when she took pictures with one of her fellow photographers. Her advice for students thinking of joining the PawPrint Press is, “Go into it open-minded, it’s very doable, be kind, get out of your comfort zone, and communicate.” Including the Paw Print Press, Anniya is involved in UIL Journalism, Interact club, HOSA, e-Sports, and the Lead By Faith club.
