Itasca Ministerial Alliance Meeting- September 3, 2022

The Itasca Ministerial Alliance met on Saturday, September 3, at Third Day
Worship Center.

Attending were: Rose Handy, President and member of Third
Day; Johnny Bates, Vice-President and pastor of St. John Baptist; Diane Barnes,
Secretary-Treasurer and former pastor of First Presbyterian; Matt Dugan, pastor
of Central Baptist; James Bouldin of Bethlehem Baptist.

Meeting was opened with prayer led by James Bouldin.
Financial report showed a balance of $2156.13
This being the first meeting since May, there was no old business.

Under new business, we discussed 5th Quarters after football games. The one after
the game on October 14 will be held at Third Day. The October 28th one will be at
Central Baptist. (After the meeting it was determined that the November 4th
game is a Home game and the 5th Quarter will be held at the Methodist Church.)

See You at the Pole is September 28. Diane passed out a flyer about the event so
the churches can give to their youth. More information about this event can be
found at www.syatp.com. Ministerial Alliance will provide refreshments.

We discussed the Itasca football team having a donation page and voted to give
$100.
Diane announced that First Presbyterian Hillsboro’s annual Coats for Kids
Hamburger Supper will be September 20. It was voted to give them $100 also.

Church reports were given:
Central Baptist is going to have a Disciple NOW for Youth Nov. 11-13. They will
also be a drop-off site for Operation Christmas Child through Nov. 13.
Third Day will celebrate their 25 th anniversary on October 15 at the HILCO
Convention Center.

Under prayer requests we were reminded to keep Pastor Henry Diggs in our
prayers and to pray for our churches and community.
The next meeting will be on October 1. Meeting was closed with prayer led by
Johnny Bates.
