Itasca ISD welcomes Tralyn Harden to the district. Coach Harden is from Fort Worth, Texas. He considers Itasca his hometown since he attended and graduated from Itasca High School. While in high school, he participated in football, basketball, and track. Coach Harden went to MCC, then later attended Eastern New Mexico University. He played basketball throughout college and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education. Here at Itasca High School, he is a Special Education Inclusion teacher. He chose to teach this position because he loves helping kids. Coach Harden would describe himself as, “funny, intelligent, and handsome.” The most unique thing about himself is how easygoing he is. Coach Harden enjoys working out, going out on trips, and watching sports during his free time. If he wasn’t a teacher and coach, he would like to be a personal trainer.
Before he came here to work at Itasca High School, he worked at Wells Fargo in Hillsboro. Coach Harden decided to come back to Itasca because he grew up here and decided to take the opportunity to be a teacher and coach for the first time in his career. He was inspired to teach because he would like to be a role model and motivator for his students and players. Coach Harden’s role model in life was, and still is, his older brother David. His favorite drink is iced tea, his favorite food is chicken parmesan, and his favorite movie is “Rush Hour 2.” Coach Harden’s advice to high schoolers would be “Stay focused and take your classes seriously, because education can take you a long way.” His favorite quote is “Time waits for no man.”
