Elena Grace Mares was born March 25 of 2009 in Dallas, Tx. She is a freshman in the Itasca High School Band. She plays 3 instuments! She plays the bari – saxophone, tenor saxophone, and the alto – saxophone. When asked if she culd change her instument what would she change it to, she said that she would like to change to tenor drums. She thinks that they get really good sounding parts in music. Her favorite part about band is the formations. The thing she disliked the most is when she is out of step. She has been playing since the 6th grade.
