What’s a classic sweet treat we all know and love? Chocolate chip cookies! Well I do anyways. In Today’s “How To..” I will be giving a recipe/tutorial on how to bake this sweet treat so you can go and share with your family and friends!
Ingredients:
1 ¾ Cups Flour
¾ tsp baking soda
1 tsp of salt
¼ Cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
3/4 Cup Butter
Chocolate chips
Instructions:
First start by melting your butter on a stove, and let it reach a golden brown color. Please be sure to stir, so the butter won’t burn. Soon after it reaches the preferred color let it chill on your counter until cooled and add your cups of brown sugar, and white sugar.
Mix the ingredients into a bowl until just combined then bring your two eggs. Add in 1 egg and 1 egg yolk, along with your vanilla, and mix. You may then bring your dry ingredients into the bowl, flour, baking soda and salt, until just combined once again.
Now for my favorite part. Time to add your chocolate chips! I have no measurements for the Chocolate chips so you may add your preferred amount. (I like to add a handful.) From there you may then scoop your cookie dough in your hands and roll it into a ball and place on a sheet. I also enjoy placing a few more pieces of chocolate chips on the top of each cookie, but it’s not mandatory. Please allow your cookies to chill for at least 30 minutes. This helps the cookie deepen the flavor and leads to a better texture. Cover and place in the fridge and when you’re ready to bake them, place in your oven at 350F degrees for 11-12 minutes be sure to place them on a platter and serve.
I enjoy baking and hope this recipe allows you to show off your baking skills!
