Today, I interviewed Morgan Oliver, a freshman at Itasca High School, who decided to share her “Unforgettable Moment.”
“My unforgettable moment was when I went to see Noah’s Ark last Christmas. It was huge, massive, and I had never seen anything big like that before, but we had left on Christmas day and gone to Kentucky with my family and Jozlynn, and we had stayed at an Airbnb. We had gone through different cages inside, and they were filled with animals. Not real animals, but the animals that would’ve been there, and like it was crazy because I saw animals I’d never seen before. One was a mix between a bear and something else, and the giraffes were short and had short necks, which I thought they must’ve adapted to getting to high trees for food and all that stuff. But in all, it was an amazing experience.”
A surprise Morgan ran into was the news of her dad saying her friend Jozlynn could come with them on the trip. One thing she hoped she would have done differently was to clean her room. “Before we left on Christmas Day, I was mostly prepared, but I also wanted to see my mom, so I don’t know if I was prepared, cause I was like, do I wanna pack these presents in my bag or not? And so my room was a mess. Which kinda sucked because when you get back from a trip you just wanna see your room clean, but in the end it’s not.” Finally, advice she would like to give if anyone faces a similar experience is to take your time planning and make it a two or more-day trip because it will be a two-day trip.
