Emma Layne Malke (17) was born on October 31, 2007, in Fort Worth, Texas. She is an only child to her mother, Holli Merkel. She has attended Itasca ISD since Pre-K!
After graduating, she plans to study sports medicine. During her years in Itasca, she has participated in various activities, including volleyball, basketball, softball, track, cheer, NHS, student council, and band. Her advice for underclassmen is to avoid procrastination on work and to have fun.
Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Speer, and her role model is her mom. She would like to thank her mom for getting her this far in her life. For college, she plans to attend Louisiana State University.
In 10 years, she sees herself married with children and working in college as an athletic trainer.
