Today, our senior spotlight shines on Sari Watson! Sari was born on April 6th, 2008, in Michigan. She is currently 17, the daughter of Falin and the oldest of her three siblings, Iris, Nasirr, and D’nyla.
She has attended Itasca for 2 years and plans to go up north for college. Sari is currently in Journalism, UIL, Film, Poetry, and One Act. Advice she would like to give to our underclassmen: “Don’t worry what other people are doing, just worry about yourself, cause at the end of the day it’s your life.” Her favorite teachers are Mr. Benson and Mrs. Mears.
She looks up to Zendaya and Taylor Rustle. The teacher who made a difference to Sari was her Algebra 1 teacher, Mrs. Osborn. She would like to thank her mom, great-grandpa, and aunt for getting her this far in life. She plans to attend Art school, SAIC, or marketing at U of M. In ten years, Sari sees herself living in a little apartment in the city, having two cats, one dog, living single and content with her life, and not working too much herself.
