Meet the Teacher, Peggy White, whose full name is Peggy S. White, also known as Mrs. White. She has been teaching for 29 years. She teaches English 3 along with her teacher work classes. She was born in Maypearl, TX.  She graduated from Tarleton State University (TSU).

Mrs. White has 2 kids, Drew and Darhly.  Mrs. White teaches English because it’s always been her favorite and most interesting subject. She was inspired to teach English because it keeps her young! Her role models in life are her Grandmothers from both sides of her family. While in HS, Mrs. White was in cheerleading/ basketball/Future Teachers of America, and Choir.

Her advice to high school students is to “not procrastinate, while we may be good under pressure, the stress is unnecessary”. Before coming to Itasca, Mrs. White taught at Italy, Waxahachie, Red Oak, and Palmer. She came to work in Itasca because her best friend also teaches at Itasca HS (Kristi Holley). ” Like who doesn’t wanna work with their best friend?… and it’s also closer to home.”

Her favorite movie is “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. One of Mrs. White’s favorite quotes is “That which does not kill us makes us stronger”. Hobbies she enjoys are traveling and singing karaoke. If she weren’t currently teaching, she would be a traveler. Her favorite food is chocolate cake with white icing. Mrs. White describes herself as very confident, passionate, and energetic.
