Matthew Lane Brown is a freshman who is part of our Itasca High School Band. He plays the percussion. If given the opportunity, he would like to play the trumpet or trombone. When asked, he said the best thing about marching is that ” he gets to go to every football game, including away games, and he really likes music”. His least favorite thing about marching is “being outside in the heat”. He is currently involved in cross country, UIL, and, of course, Band. He has been a part of band since sixth grade. His favorite band story is when Mr. Middleton told them about a kid who was on the way to band and got out of the car, and smashed his trombone in the door.
