Yocelin Salazar is a senior at Itasca High School, born on November 22, 2006, in Hillsboro, TX, to Jose Salazar and Macrina Garcia. She is currently 18 and the sister to 26-year-old Wendy Garcia, 25-year-old Elisandro, and 13-year-old Jose Salazar Jr. She has attended Itasca since Pre-k. After graduation, she plans to attend college at UTA or Texas A&M. She is involved in Theatre and UIL. Her advice for the underclassmen is to “keep your head up.” Her favorite teacher is Mrs.Speer. Her role model is her mother, and the person who has made the biggest difference in her life is her older sister. She would like to thank her family for getting her this far in life. In ten years, she hopes to have become a business owner.
