The Itasca Ministerial Alliance met on November 1, 2025 at 9:00 at Central Baptist Church. Those present represented Central Baptist, Reconciled Church, Third Day and First Presbyterian
Hillsboro.
Meeting was opened with prayer led by Diane Barnes. Financial report showed a balance of $2122.96. Thanksgiving Dinner boxes will be given out again this year. We will encourage people to stay in their cars and let us bring the boxes to them, as we have done the past couple of years.
Distribution will be on November 22 from 9-11. A list of items for each box was handed out. This event will be held at Central Baptist again. Wal Mart is giving us a deal on 7 turkeys. The Solar Farm in Itasca will be donating items for the boxes. A Community Thanksgiving Service will be held on November 23 at Third Day Worship Center. Music will be provided by Third Day Worship Center. Diane Barnes will give offering prayer. Caurtney Phillips will read scripture, and Methodist Pastor Alex Howell will bring the message. Ministerial Alliance will be set up downtown before the Christmas Parade with food and prizes.
Under Church Reports: Diane shared that First Presbyterian of Hillsboro’s Hamburger Supper, which is a benefit for Coats for Kids, which provides coats and jackets for students in need at all Hill County schools, was a success. They filled 45 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. There will be a free Christmas Concert at the church on December 7. Diane is continuing to teach a Bible study at Central Baptist on Wednesdays at 2:00. Third Day will have a Banquet on December 14 and will be collecting toys for Mexico. Reconciled will have a special Dinner on November 23. Central Baptist filled over 200 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. They will be selling BBQ sandwiches as a fundraiser on November 7. Christmas Eve service will be at 5:30 on December 24. Our next meeting will be Dec. 6. The meeting was closed with prayer led by Matt Dugan.
