The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for most of Central Texas, remaining in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday morning as hazardous winter weather conditions threaten the area. For Central Texas, we are expecting moderate to heavy build ups of sleet and ice all across the region Friday through late Saturday night. In addition, dangerously low temperatures, with some areas reaching below 10 degrees, are expected Saturday night through Monday morning. Remember to protect your plants, your pipes, your pets, and check on your neighbors/elderly! Bundle up and stay safe! The PPP will continue reporting on the conditions of the first Winter Storm of 2026!
