Anya Mays (17) was born on July 29th, 2008, in Galveston, Texas, to her mom, Tanya Jarrett. She has 6 siblings and has attended Itasca for eleven years.
After graduation, she plans to run track in college and become a nurse. Her extracurricular activities currently include sports, as well as serving as a sports manager. Advice she would like to give to underclassmen is “Be nice to everyone and keep your grades up.” Her favorite teachers are Mrs. White and Mr. Patterson; her role model is NBA YoungBoy, and the person who has made a difference in her life is Coach Spencer from Corsicana.
She would like to thank her mom and siblings for helping her this far in life. Although she hasn’t decided what college she plans to go to, she has a few options open. Anya sees herself as a nurse in the next ten years.
