(Post taken from City of Itasca Facebook page)
Dear Itasca friends and neighbors,
We know our community has faced challenges with flooding and drainage during heavy rains and we’ve heard your concerns. The City of Itasca is moving forward with a 5-Year Stormwater Management Plan to protect homes, businesses, and roads from future flooding while improving our drainage systems. Here’s what we’re doing:
Cleaning Up Ditches: Removing debris, dirt, and overgrown vegetation to improve water flow.
Culvert Improvements: Inspecting and upgrading older culverts that can’t handle today’s storm runoff.
Working with Property Owners: We’ll reach out directly if work is needed on your property.
We’ll keep everyone informed every step of the way this is a big project, but together we can make a lasting difference for our town.
Any questions, reach out to the City of Itasca at (254) 687-2201 or [email protected].
