Itasca won a very close game against Italy, 8-6, but the official score was 7-6 due to a last-hit chance. The score barely changed in the first innings until Itasca gained the momentum, with a lead of three by the 4th inning. Then suddenly, Italy caught up and gained the lead by one point in the 7th inning. Itasca was now down 5-6. However, with amazing hits by #2, Aydan Villarreal, #24, Brayden Daniel, and #5, Gage Basset, they clutch it up, making great opportunities to score. The boys fought hard, and despite many mistakes, they overcame adversity. This is their second game with Italy, having won 16-2 on March 20. Itasca will go against Frost on Friday, March 27.
