This week’s Paw Print Press presents how to make pipe-clear flowers! You will need the following.
- pipe cleaners
- scissors
- hot glue
- wooden sticks
To make a regular hibiscus flower, you will need 6 folded pipe cleaners and 9 cut-in-half pipe cleaners in any colors you may prefer for the petals. After you are done, you get 3 cut-up pipe cleaners and put them inside the fold of one folded pipe cleaner. Then scrunch them all together and twist the end to secure it. Make sure you add a little bean to the back of each floor to give it more of a flower look. Then you have your first petal! Then repeat the process 5 times, and you have all your petals. Then grab the wooden stick and at the ends where you twisted it, add the glue, and then attach it on the wooden stick. I recommended holding for about 10 seconds before releasing.repeat that process until all petals are glued on the stick. After that is done, get perferably about 3 or 4 (depending on how long your stick is ) green pipe cleaners to wrap around the stick until no wood is shown. Glue on the tip of each pipe cleaner. Then, to make the leaves, you will grab 2 folded pipe cleaners and 2 cut-up pipe cleaners and repeat the same process that you did for your flowers. Then add hot glue to the end of the leaf and place them wherever you like on the stick. Then, optionally, you can add something like a rolled-up pipe cleaner to the middle of the petals to give it a pop! You are now finished!
