Now our teachers may not know how much we, as students, truly appreciate them, so I’ve interviewed some of our Itasca Wampus cats to showcase how much we truly appreciate the hard work and unnoticed dedication our Teachers put into their students. Asking the simple question of “Who do you appreciate most?” and “In what way have they motivated you?”
Destiny Owen: “Mr. Loya, because he’s always helpful.”
“His influence to help other people makes me want to do the same.”
Chelsea Lopez: “Mrs. Speer, because of how goal-driven she is and how she can incorporate discipline into class while keeping it fun.”
“She can have compassion while saying no sometimes to the things she doesn’t want people to do, and we know it’s for the best.”
Aiden Abbott: “Mrs. Speer, because she enforces that discipline in me where she wants me to be better about myself and make me have better character overall, in general, and have a higher standard.”
“When I’m in a lazy mood or whatever, I can hear her voice in the back of my head just saying, ‘Hey, do your work,’ or ‘You can do better,’ which really pushes me.”
Tatum Abrego: “Coach Arrington, because he always pushes me to be my best in both class and sports.”
“Because he is always very hard on me, and he tells me the things he used to do to get better at something, so it makes me motivated to do my best.”
Leah Moreno: “Mrs. White, because she’s in a good mood every day, and she’s always sweet and gives us little nice reminders, and checks on us.”
“She motivates me since she’s always so positive and in a good mood, and tries to put us in a better mood, which helps us not be in a bad mood at school.”
Brayden Daniel: “Mr. P, AKA Mr. Patterson he pushes me to do my work and do my hardest.”
“He encourages me to do my best.”
Brooklyn Rodriguez: “Mrs. Speer, because she’s hard on us in class, and she pushes us to do our best.”
“She encourages us and pushes us to do more than what where capable of.”
Anna Baxter: “Mrs. Holli because she’s always nice.”
“She encourages me to do my work like when I slack off.”
