How the Grinch Stole Itasca

The holiday season has arrived, and with it comes a playful twist we hope will bring joy, laughter, and excitement to our town. The Itasca Yearbook/Paw Print Press is working with the Itasca Police Department to plan a lighthearted, fictional (not real) holiday scheme starring none other than the Grinch himself—and we want YOU to be a part of it!

This creative project is designed to bring our town together, spark imagination, and get everyone involved in a festive, family-friendly tradition.

Here’s how you can join in the fun:

Share Videos of “evidence” of the Grinch’s mischief around town. For example, explain dramatically that all of your presents were taken, your stockings are missing, etc. We have videos attached for reference. https://youtube.com/shorts/8ck19TQtvtg?feature=share
Post updates to social media or the Neighborhood News page as if you’re tracking the mysterious antics using the hashtag #ItascaGrinch #HowtheGrinchStoleItasca. We will also post fake wanted posters, fake press releases, etc. that can be shared.
Attend the upcoming Community Christmas Parade where we’ll continue the story in the parade and celebrate the season together.

We want city workers, students, parents, families, teachers, businesses, all Itasca citizens, to get in on the fun. Send your video clips to [email protected]. By sending photos or videos for this project, you are giving us permission to use them for school and community purposes, including sharing or posting them on our official pages. This also may mean us screenshotting your fun social media posts for film purposes. Please be aware that submitted content may also be highlighted by our local news station.

This is a just-for-fun fictional (not real) experience meant to unite our community, spark creativity, and bring smiles to our students, families, and neighbors. Let’s work together to make Itasca a place where holiday magic lives—where the Grinch may cause a little chaos, but Christmas spirit always wins.
