He would like to thank his mom for helping him get to where he is today. Lukas says he considers himself his own role model, and in ten years, he envisions working on the road and earning a great income.
For this week’s senior spotlight, we would like to introduce Lukas Nieto! Lukas is currently 17 years old. He was born on February 15, 2008, in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is the son of Roel Nieto and Jolynn Nieto, along with his brothers Nieko (30), Dani (27), and Cedric (25). Lukas has attended Itasca since 4th grade.
Lukas participates in agriculture mechanics and golf. His favorite teachers have been Mrs. Lemons, Mrs. Mears, and Mr. Loya. His advice for underclassmen is, “Don’t take life too seriously.” After high school Lukas plans to go work on the pipeline. When asked who has made a difference in his life, Lukas says, “My parents because they always support me and help me in any way they can. My boss as well because he gives me good advice and has helped me become a better person.”
