What’s good, Wampus Cats! You’re reading the Paw Print Press, covering February 23rd through the 27th!
At Itasca Elementary, fifth graders will be showcasing their Black History Month projects for students in Pre-K through 4th grade to see. The projects are creative representations of important figures in Black history. The fifth graders were super excited to work on this assignment since it’s one of the few crafting projects they get to do outside of art class.
The projects were created on Wednesday, and everyone is excited to see the final results. We’re especially proud because not only students and teachers will be viewing the projects—parents will be there too! Fifth graders were allowed to bring materials from home, such as shoeboxes, clay, and other supplies, to help make their projects unique.
That’s the end of our February 23rd–27th article. We hope you enjoyed reading it! Now go enjoy your day—whether it’s morning, afternoon, evening, night, midnight, on the Moon, on Pluto, or on a giant dessert hotdog blobfish. Wherever you are, just remember: it’s not just any day… it’s YOUR day!
