Itasca ISD would like to welcome Sean Moore. Mr. Moore is from Dallas, Texas. He went to Waxahachie High School and played baseball throughout his high school career. He considers Waxahachie, Texas his hometown. Mr. Moore attended Fort Scott Community College, and Stephen F. Austin State University where he earned a degree in business. He graduated from FSCC in 2018, then graduated from SFA in 2020. Mr. Moore is married to his high school sweetheart, Lacey Moore. They have a dog named Piper. Something unique about himself is that he has family who live in Scotland. Before Mr. Moore came to Itasca to be a teacher, he was an account manager for WIN Reality. He decided to come work here at Itasca because of the students. Mr. Moore says, “There is a great opportunity for these young men and women to achieve excellence and I am blessed to hopefully make an impact on their journey.” If Mr. Moore weren’t teaching, he would like to be coaching baseball. Mr. Moore’s favorite food is steak, and his favorite drink is water. His favorite movies are “Tombstone” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”. His favorite book is “Mind Gym”. Mr. Moore would describe himself as loyal, hardworking, and determined. This is his first year ever teaching, and when asked why he was inspired to teach Mr. Moore says, “I want to help make an impact and get to experience these young men and women reaching their goals.” Mr. Moore’s greatest role model in life is, and will always be, his mother. His advice to high school students would be, “Enjoy all of the moments, good, bad, and in-between. There is a lesson that can be learned from all of them.” His favorite quote is; “Mediocre people don’t like being around high achievers and high achievers don’t like being around mediocre people.” – Nick Saban
