Senior Spotlight: Ilexis Flores

For this week’s senior spotlight, we would like to introduce Ilexis! Ilexis Denise Flores (17) was born on July 22, 2008, in Hillsboro, Texas. Her parents are Yoali Garcia Fierro and Aaron Flores. She is the oldest sibling to Sebastian (3-year-old little brother), Genesis (4-year-old little sister), Fabian (5-year-old little brother), Christian (8-year-old little brother), and Vanessa (14-year-old younger sister).

Ilexis has been at Itasca for 4 years. Throughout high school, Ilexis has participated in athletics, band, and e-sports. Her favorite teacher is Mr. Loya. Her advice for underclassmen is, ”Save up your money.”

Her role model is her grandma, because she played a big parental role in her life. The person who has made a difference in her life is Juan. She would like to thank her mother for getting her this far in life.

After high school, Ilexis plans to finish getting her degree at Hill College for cosmetology in nails. In 10 years, she sees herself with her own nail business and with a family.
